Caddima® & Cyrtina®
'Computerized dentistry' will be the trend in near future for laboratoria, and general practices in dental technology. Developments are following up very fast. Also the Dutch company Oratio BV, co-founded by Dyna Dental Engineering BV, is developing innovative CAD/CAM systems in dentistry.
During the past years we informed you regulary about the CADDIMA® project (Computer Aided Diagnosis and Design of Implant Abutments).
In November 2006 we launched Cyrtina® on the market, a new innovative CAD/CAM system, based on central production, for all kind of ceramic caps & bridges (max. 6-unit bridge), Zircon Oxided based in 6 colours.
Cyrtina® scanner
The Cyrtina scanner provides the dental laboratories with a state of the art lasertriangulation digitizer that has all the functionalities necessary for future developments in the field of computer aided implantology, orthodontics and prosthodontics. Quality, speed and demand-oriented order control lead to optimal profitability.
Implantology is one of the fastest growing fields in dentistry. In combination with CAD/CAM individual zirconia abutments are now possible.
The Cyrtina® CAD software has unique features:
- Automatic outline determination
- Securing strength by automatic adjustment of the minimal connector in height/width according to the bridge span
- Automatic block out of undercuts
- Automatic anatomic design of caps, pontics and connectors
- Automatic rounding of the connectors used with bridge parts (anatomical forms)
- Knife edge preparation up till 0,1 mm
Despite the full automatic software (3-click restauration!), the user has a huge number of possibilities in individual demands, e.g. determination of cement thickness, shape and thickness of cap and/or bridge, outline length, etc.
Scanning and design by yourself or in Dyna Scancenter?
Of course speed and flexibility gives the dental technician the preference for scanning and design in own practice. This means investing in optical Cyrtina® laser-triangulation scanner, Cyrtina® CSD scansoftware, computer, screen and desin software Cyrtina® CAD. All constructions can be designed. However, if the number of constructions doesn’t compensate the investment, the Dyna scancenter could offer a solution. If the model is send to us, we take care of the construction in the preferred color.
